Here you can see a flavour of the real life impact of these activities, across awide variety of local people, from a host of different backgrounds, in the local community. Greatinitiatives the club support include the EIHL Pride Weekend and the annual ‘air the bear’ eventduring the Xmas period, which is an opportunity for fans to donate toys to local charities andhospitals.Beyondour wider community focused activities, the aim of our youth player developmentprogrammes are clear as we look to provide opportunities along the way for local young people, ofall backgrounds and abilities, to represent the club in the famous ‘Storm Shelter’. The is a realparticular focus in getting hockey sticks and pucks in the hands of as many local young people aspossible. Engagement with local schools and businesses is crucial as we look to development playingopportunities at community level and our academy. As you would expect from any such venture, there are a large amount of operational costs for theundertaking of the Manchester Storm Prize Draw, which are funded by Pioneer BDS (trading asPioneer Competitions). These include, but are not limited to prizes, resource creation, marketing/ prand staff. We encourage Storm fans, ice hockey supporters as a whole and the public in general to support theManchester Storm Prize Draw. The more people that get involved by purchasing entries, the morefunding for the above Storm programmes will be raised
